Pappy Van Poodle

Pappy Van Poodle is a businessman who is a close friend and old mentor of Rusty Slugger, and has been for over 90 dog years. He is the biggest fan and supporter of the "Rusty's Sluggers" baseball team, and once threw out his back cheering. He has helped Rusty's shop through hard times, including his strange habit of discovering just the thing Rusty needs when no-one else will give it to him. He has a conspicuous resemblance to Inuzō Toipū.
